PAM GORDON
Biography
I studied Fine Art in Liverpool (1988) and Wolverhampton (1992).
My three years at Wolverhampton University was spent creating sculptures in stone and wood in the stone yard.
Here my love of natural materials developed with themes and images being self-directed. Birds and symbolism played a large part in my sculptures.

After graduating with a Fine Art degree, I returned to Liverpool to study traditional sculpture under three skilled, Italian-influenced traditional stone carvers at The Bluecoat. I had a private studio for a number of years.
There was a detour in my practise when I produced jewellery designs in the early 2000s, working with tiny beads, sparkling gemstones and crystals to create big statement pieces and small delicate items.
My designs have appeared in national and international magazines and have won jewellery competitions.
I have taught my own designs in beadwork courses for over 12 years.

I returned to sculpture and painting on a smaller scale and am currently a member of Borderland Visual Arts (on the North Wales / English borders) and Wirral Society of Arts.
I exhibit in group shows with both of these groups at
The Willow Gallery, Oswestry
The Gateway Gallery, Shrewsbury
The Williamson Gallery, Wirral
Everyman Theatre Gallery, Liverpool

I am also the Managing Director of Radiate Arts, a not-for-profit community arts social enterprise based in Chester.

Below is a selection of my past sculpture and beadwork.
